With an internal restructure, a role has opened up for a new Venue Manager at the Diggers Sports Club in the heart of Surfers Paradise, the Venue Manager will answering directly to the experienced Group Operations Manager, they will help shape the future direction of the club operates a range of bars, dining, function facilities and a gaming lounge with a modern fleet of 70 EGM. This is a unique opportunity for a forward-thinking Club or Operations Manager who is keen to stamp their personality on this club group and assist the group’s maximising their opportunities.
The success of the SOPO group is enabling it to provide donations the wider community. Working closely with the Group Operations Manager, and the Club’s progressive Board, this role is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Club’s operations to ensure it functions in a highly professional manner and at maximum efficiency.
The key to success in this role is your ability to motivate and lead a team of staff to always deliver exceptional customer service. A highly energetic outgoing personality with a strong background in hospitality operations, demonstrating an ability to deliver results and operational standards over a sustained period is imperative.
The key attributes of the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate are:
- At least three years’ management experience in a medium to large hospitality establishment which provides food, beverage and gaming services.
- An understanding and a proven track record in driving gaming revenue, food and beverage, marketing and membership.
- Personality and ability to motivate a cohesive management team.
- An understanding of modern HR practices and compliance.
- Ability to create a positive environment and mentor staff, encouraging their personal growth and development.
- Hospitality or management qualifications at a Diploma level or above would be an advantage.
