In 2002, John Dickson of DWS founded the Australian Club Management Institute (ACMI) to fill a critical gap in club management education. Since then, the program has gone from strength to strength—today, more than 100 Queensland Club Managers are proud ACMI graduates.
Now nearing the end of their 18-month journey, the 2024/25 ACMI cohort is on track to complete the nationally recognised BSB50420 Diploma of Leadership and Management. These emerging leaders represent a diverse range of venues across Queensland and have gained deep insights into executive operations, sustainability initiatives, and venue innovation.
More than a qualification, ACMI is a career-defining experience. Backed by dedicated program partners, industry sponsors, and mentors, participants benefit from expert-led site visits, networking with senior leaders, and hands-on learning in real club environments.
