The Building is Only Half the Story

As many Hospitality managers have encountered, building a new facility or expanding and renovating an existing facility is only half the story, the real work begins for the management staff when the builders leave, generally with increased size, increase in amenities and facilities new systems and processes are required along with a reassessment of Management and staff needs.

For any of you who have yet to see the recently completed renovations at Greenbank RSL, you have a big surprise in store, given the quality and opulence of the facility and the increased number of various amenities and options within the club, certainly sets a new benchmark in Queensland. However, as I alluded to in my book review and the previous paragraph the real work begins for Tim Wright GM at Greenbank RSL and his management team not only looking at their processes and services, but also their management structure roles and responsibilities, to meet the needs of this new more complex facility.

Tim and his CFO Renee Lilii caught up with John Dickson DWS to look at ways they can assist the club’s in reviewing its new management needs and provide a report for the club’s board consideration to also assist them in understanding of what the incredible new facility they have created will now take to run efficiently.
