Building a late night trade

Share Post:

The expiry of the late night trading moratorium was a milestone event for clubs and pubs.  Contrary to some expectations, OLGR wasn’t inundated with unreasonable numbers of applications for 5am extensions.  Instead, less than 100 applications have been received. So far, 59 applications have been approved comprised of 34 hotels, 16 clubs and 9 other licence types.  Clubs mostly obtained 2am licensing with a small number of extensions beyond 2am granted.  In many cases, the later trading is aimed at catering for an ever-growing night economy in Queensland, driven by shift workers, tourists and people with flexible life styles.  DWS can assist you with your application for late night trading by completing all documentation and representing your interests with the Regulator.
