Craig Harley, CEO of Clubs Queensland recently held a special event at the XXXX Castlemaine Brewery Boardroom to introduce a new tradition to the Club Manager of the Year Awards of awarding numbered caps to all inductees.  Following an age-old tradition of awarding caps to people who excel in sport, academia and business, these traditional caps will now be presented to future Club Managers of the Year by the outgoing Club Manager of the Year.

The largest group of Club Managers of the Year were present at the event to receive their caps.  DWS and CTA founder John Dickson, who managed the Brisbane Polo Club at the time, was the second manager in Queensland to receive the award and was present to receive his Cap number 2 from Craig Harley. Ken Mogg General Manager of Kedron-Wavell Services Club at the time, was the first club manager to receive the award.  Sadly, Ken passed away last year and was represented at the event by his daughter Hayley Crealy.
