The DWS Accommodation Index is conducted via email and through www.dws.net.au with an online survey. This survey is based on hotels with rooms in excess of 50. The survey is based on forward looking opinions of hotels general managers.
The accommodation index is derived from forward looking statements by hotel general managers based on key operational metrics. The index is weighted to allow for strong or weak outlooks. The scale is from -1 to +1, minus 1 being the most pessimistic outlook, +1 being the most positive outlook and 0 being a stable outlook.
