Brookwater Golf and Country Club is home to outstanding facilities and an elegant, modern design complimenting the areas natural beauty. The clubhouse boasts a range of exceptional facilities including; a spacious lounge, bar, contemporary restaurant and state-of-the-art meeting and conference areas that feature breathtaking views over the Greg Norman-designed golfing greens and fairways. The club is soon to complete a brand new café facility including a variety of outdoor entertainment areas and dining styles.
Located just 25 minutes from the Brisbane CBD, the club has become a venue of choice for Brisbane weddings and corporate events and more recently, hosting large community events attracting hundreds of people for “Movies on the Green” and “Jazz on the Green”.
The Brookwater Golf and Country Club is now seeking a passionate and experienced Food and Beverage professional to assist the business General Manager in driving the daily F&B operations, motivating and leading the team and providing strategic direction for the venue.
The House Operations Manager will have a strong Food and Beverage focus and a hands-on approach to lead the front of house and kitchen employees during key service periods, ensuring the delivery of industry best service practice at all times. This rewarding management role requires flexible availability, a dedication to service and an outstanding food culture.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to):
- Strategic leadership and day-to-day management of the Food and Beverage business.
- Increase the financial performance of the Food and Beverage business (including Events).
- Work with the General Manager to create and deliver a Five Year Strategic Plan for the club.
- Assist in the creation of the annual business plan and budget for the Food and Beverage business. Will be accountable for delivering the approved business plan and budget.
- Ensure the department functions in accordance with the corporate objectives for establishing, developing and implementing sales strategies and maximising sales and profit growth for the Food and Beverage business.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working at a managerial level in the F&B / Hospitality Industry.
- Knowledge on the quality and controls associated with the compliance under the Liquor Act 1992, and the Australian New Zealand Food and Standards Code.
- A passion for the hospitality industry and the ability to motivate a large team with a similar passion.
- Experience in managing large teams in the hospitality industry.
- Formal Hospitality, Management or Business qualifications would be an advantage.
- Experience in delivering and meeting financial KPIs in Food and Beverage service.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability in managing and coordinating events and entertainment.
- Demonstrated knowledge, passion and ability to deliver a high level of customer service.
- Previous experience in stock management control.
- Current RSA & RMLV qualification.
- Demonstrated experience in managing licensed venue security.
