If you have a passion for management in the club industry and developing new initiatives to enable a Club to capitalise on its potential, then this 18-hole championship golf club in the heart of the Gold Coast is for you. Surfers Paradise Golf Club is a family-friendly community club boasting a recently renovated clubhouse with modern bar facilities, 14 gaming machines, Keno, Bunkers Bar & Bistro and a great local events facility.

As Secretary Manager, you will work with a progressive Board to manage all aspects of the Club operations, maximising operating profits from bar, catering and function operations to driving all aspects of the golf operations; including competitions, commercial events and casual play.

The successful candidate will thrive in a hands-on, challenging and diverse environment and must have an enthusiasm for the hospitality industry with a passion for exceptional customer service. Superior knowledge in finance, gaming, HR, food and beverage, regulatory compliance and marketing will be a requirement for this position, equally important will be a proven ability to manage and motivate a team.

The successful candidate will ideally possess:
  • Previous experience in similar club managerial roles with a broad level of knowledge in management principles
  • Experience in hospitality financial management, budgeting and Board reporting
  • Formal training & education in Hospitality, Business or Management would be an advantage
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of club regulatory compliance matters
  • Knowledge of modern gaming practices and marketing strategies
  • An outgoing and engaging personality that is focused on developing strong relationships with staff, management and customers
  • The ability to drive workplace culture and influence staff morale
  • Current RMLV and RSA qualifications

This hands-on management role would suit an organised and efficient individual with a high level of attention to detail, excellent computer skills and a professional, outgoing and proactive attitude.

Salary will be commensurate with your skills, qualifications, experience and abilities.
