Bowling Green Bites The Dust

Share Post:

As bowls clubs continue to struggle throughout Queensland, some are lucky enough to have the chance to reinvent themselves and continue to provide and promote the enjoyment of lawn bowls to their regulars and their broader community.

One of these lucky clubs that has development currently underway is The Waves Club Caloundra.  Owned and operated by one of Queensland’s most successful clubs, The Waves Sports Club (Bundaberg).  The Waves Caloundra, has had a significant refit both internally and externally.

The club is currently replacing two of the grass greens with synthetic, and the third green behind the club will become a new car park and club entrance.

The Waves has a significant strategic planning direction for this club over the next couple of years. Gavin Johnston, General Manager, is photographed with one of the bobcats reengineering the greens to become synthetic.
