Following the pre-election corporate governance workshop for new board candidates, David Drake was elected as a new Director at Kedron-Wavell Services Club. Kedron-Wavell Services Club is another one of Queensland’s larger clubs that have transitioned from a Queensland Incorporated Association to a Federal Company Limited by Guarantee.
Due to the increased responsibilities for directors of Companies Limited by Guarantee, Kedron-Wavell Services Club engaged DWS Chairman John Dickson to deliver an introduction to corporate governance to all club members wishing to nominate for a Board position, to ensure they understand the roles and responsibilities of Directors on the Board of Kedron-Wavell Services Club.
