DWS is excited to announce that we have recruited Timmy Kemp for Veneziano’s new café in Brisbane.

A legend on the Queensland Chef scene, Timmy Kemp accepted the role of Head Chef at the new Veneziano café in West End. Adding to her long list of professional achievements, Timmy can be proud of her time at the famous Baguette Restaurant on Racecourse Rd and leading restaurants  Chow House and Harvey’s Bistro in James Street, not to mention her own restaurant at Southbank.

John Dickson, General Manager of DWS Hospitality Services, said recruiting chefs in the current environment is a real challenge and we were thrilled to get somebody of Timmy’s calibre for the exciting new Veneziano café in West End.

With plenty of praise from previous employers, here’s what Maria Andronos of Chow House Brisbane, formerly James Street Bistro, had to say about working with Timmy;

“It was a pleasure to work with such an enthusiastic hard-working professional chef who you couldn’t fault if you tried”

Marilyn Domenech, of Baguette Restaurant, spoke proudly of the many great chefs they’ve employed at the restaurant over the years including Timmy who introduced a Thai twist to their French menu. She further mentioned that Timmy was a wonderful chef, so much so that when they had dinner parties at home they would ask Timmy to cook for their guests. She said anyone who is lucky enough to employ Timmy will not only enjoy the experience, but so will their customers.
