Queensland Clubs Dominate the Family Restaurant Scene

Share Post:

The Queensland Club industry has made a significant impact, now leading the charge in the family restaurant market across the State. High-performing Clubs are reporting exceptional monthly restaurant revenues, with some reaching up to $800,000, and $500,000 becoming the new standard for many. These impressive earnings highlight the remarkable transformation Clubs have undergone in recent years to appeal to families.

Catering to a wide variety of tastes isn’t easy, but many Clubs have risen to the challenge by offering kid-friendly menus and family-oriented dining spaces. These modern, welcoming environments are designed to meet the needs of budget-conscious parents, providing the perfect balance of affordability and quality for the whole family.

It’s not just the large clubs in Brisbane making an impact—community Clubs from Cairns to Townsville, and across the Sunshine and Gold Coasts, are playing a major role in the evolution of family dining. Gone are the days of basic roast dinners and classic fish and chips. Clubs have invested millions to revamp their dining spaces, transforming them into chic cafes and high-quality restaurants that cater to diverse tastes.
Family-friendly promotions have become a staple, with many clubs offering deals like “2 for 1 Kids Meals” or “Kids Eat Free” on selected days (with the purchase of an adult meal).

And as kids’ tastes become more adventurous, Clubs have expanded their menus to include gourmet pizzas, a variety of pastas, and other creative options. Messaging like “Let us clean up the mess!” speaks directly to mums, making dining out with the family a more relaxed experience.

Another big draw for families is the growing trend of supervised Kids’ Club Rooms, offering fun and entertainment options for children. Greenbank Services Club, for example, features a popular ‘Cinema Room’ designed to keep kids engaged. In 2023, City Golf Club introduced Tabatinga, a family fun centre with play facilities for both kids and parents.

Meanwhile, Carina Leagues Club is raising the bar with plans for a new children’s playground, complete with four bowling alleys and Putt Putt courses.

In an era of rising living costs, community Clubs offer an affordable yet high-quality dining experience, making them an attractive option for families. Their value-driven approach has only increased their popularity during tough economic times, with many patrons appreciating the combination of affordability and quality.
